Larceny in pick No. 78 lands the Bears a A-, Coleman and all.

You could see the war room lean forward. Keon Coleman at the Round 3 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

They will need Van Pran to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
