Draft Grade — Bears
Overall C
ValueB- NeedB- TradesF FutureB
The Bears bled value on every deal, hence the C.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A mixed bag that lands at C.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Jackson left real value on the table behind him. However the rest shakes out, Fisher at that price is a win they earned.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Hit on Marvin Harrison Jr. and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In slot 1 they get a home-run threat at receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick20 Rnd1 Xavier Legette
In No. 20 they get a matchup problem out wide, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick51 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson in the 51st overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick75 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
They took Johnny Wilson at par in pick No. 75, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick78 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
A real head-scratcher, Khyree Jackson in pick 78 is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick81 Rnd3 Audric Estime
A reach for Audric Estime in the Round 3 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick110 Rnd4 Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher at Round 4, Pick 10 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick111 Rnd4 Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson in the 111th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122 Rnd4 James Williams
James Williams at the 122nd pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
