Nobody else had Jayden Higgins anywhere near slot 41. The Patriots did, by 96 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

Majors falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
