Nobody had Hayden Conner this high, and it is not close. The Patriots reached 48 spots to get him at pick No. 217.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

However the rest shakes out, Walker at that price is a win they earned.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
