Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Kaleb Johnson got past him. The Patriots do not have to explain a thing at the Round 3 slot. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, with Abdul Carter leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
