Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick 254 on Roman Hemby, a name the board had a full 103 spots lower. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. Davis falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
