The Falcons won the night they stopped Jones Jr. from sliding. Grade: B+. Somebody in slot 193 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Falcons sat still while Emery Jones Jr., the No. 128 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
Mays has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. With quarterback, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
