The Falcons did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Donovan Jackson fell into pick 118. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

The cost of the West reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

It is not that Mukuba is a bad player; it is that the Falcons had louder needs to answer first. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
