Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Falcons were there to profit. Kyle Monangai, the No. 197 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 257. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Gillotte has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The Earnest Brown IV pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
