The rest of the league had time to spare on Drew Kendall; the Falcons did not wait, grabbing him 51 spots ahead at slot 242. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Mafah where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
