The phones were a trap the Jets kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. There is no dressing it up: a F.

The Rice pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Edwards pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
