You can hear the double-takes from here. The Steelers took Carter Bradley at Round 6, Pick 20, roughly 100 spots before his name belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. With safety, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on offensive lineman is the choice that costs them.

They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it. Getting Abrams-Draine where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
