You could see the war room lean forward. Ennis Rakestraw Jr. at No. 61 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Hartman pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
