The Patriots robbed the room for Rourke. Final grade: B-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Kurtis Rourke, the No. 135 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They are betting Loop proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Spending an early pick on linebacker with edge rusher, safety and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
