Neal should have been long gone. The Ravens pounced, and earned a B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Devin Neal at the Round 4 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Kennard proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Josh Conerly Jr.
In pick No. 27 they get a building block for the line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick59 Rnd2 Kyle Kennard
They went early on Kyle Kennard in the 59th overall pick, and the value did not follow. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick91 Rnd3 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick129 Rnd4 Devin Neal
Circle this one: Devin Neal at the 129th pick is a fall that decides a draft. The roster fit checks out.
Pick136 Rnd4 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in Round 4, Pick 34 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick176 Rnd5 Logan Brown
The board fumbled Logan Brown all the way to slot 176, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick183 Rnd6 Drew Kendall
A conviction pick on Drew Kendall at No. 183 that the board grades a round light. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick203 Rnd6 Antwane Wells Jr.
Antwane Wells Jr. in pick 203 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
