Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesC- FutureA
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Raiders.

The Raiders put a flag in the ground for Phillip Webb, 120 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit.

Gray at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 2 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick68 Rnd3 Savion Williams
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Savion Williams. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick80 Rnd3 Sebastian Castro
Sebastian Castro in pick 80 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick108 Rnd4 Nohl Williams
A wild overpay on Nohl Williams in the 108th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick143 Rnd5 O'Donnell Fortune
A reach for O'Donnell Fortune in the 143rd pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick180 Rnd6 Ricky White III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Ricky White III well ahead of where he belonged. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick189 Rnd6 Simeon Barrow Jr.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Simeon Barrow Jr. this early at the Round 6 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick213 Rnd6 Teddye Buchanan
Value said wait; Teddye Buchanan in pick No. 213 says they were not listening. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick222 Rnd7 Joshua Gray
They let Joshua Gray come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 6. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick226 Rnd7 Phillip Webb
A big swing on Phillip Webb at pick 226, well ahead of any board in the building. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick251 Rnd7 Kevin Jennings
Kevin Jennings at No. 251 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
