Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Bills: B-. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jalen McLeod at the Round 5 slot is 42 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Williams falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in pick 30 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick56
Rnd2
Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in Round 2, Pick 24 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick62
Rnd2
Kaleb Johnson
They let Kaleb Johnson come to them and pounced at No. 62. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick109
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Savion Williams at pick No. 109 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick132
Rnd4
Cody Simon
No edge and no loss on Cody Simon in the 132nd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick169
Rnd5
O'Donnell Fortune
Value with a capital V on O'Donnell Fortune in the 169th pick, a genuine coup. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick170
Rnd5
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
A wild overpay on Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in pick 170, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick173
Rnd5
Jalen McLeod
They reached a country mile for Jalen McLeod at No. 173, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick177
Rnd6
Jack Kiser
They took Jack Kiser at par in pick No. 177, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick206
Rnd6
Caleb Rogers
A straight-up fair deal on Caleb Rogers at Round 6, Pick 30, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
