If confidence were a draft strategy, the Falcons would have aced it. Taulia Tagovailoa at pick 199 is 77 spots clear of where he belonged.

Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

It is not that Stover is a bad player; it is that the Falcons had louder needs to answer first. That Wilson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
