The Falcons drew a line under the quarterback search with Daniels: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Falcons shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Spending an early pick on OLB-EDGE with interior defensive lineman, tight end and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The cost of the Jones reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Landing McKinstry that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
