The Falcons found their guy under center in Daniels: D.

You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Falcons did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The cost of the Gore Jr. reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Landing Tampa that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.

T.J. Tampa slid further than he should have, and the 57th pick is lovely value for the cornerback. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.

A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Malachi Corley. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
