Draft Grade — Bears

FutureB
The Bears drew a line under the quarterback search with Williams: B+. The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.
The Dayo Odeyingbo deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In No. 1 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick17
Rnd1
Byron Murphy II
In pick No. 17 they get a disruptive interior force. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick46
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
No edge and no loss on Xavier Legette in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
Pick49
Rnd2
Adisa Isaac
A straight-up fair deal on Adisa Isaac at slot 49, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115
Rnd4
Hunter Nourzad
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Hunter Nourzad. It fills a real need, too.
Pick122
Rnd4
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones at the 122nd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
