The Lions looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took McCallan Castles at Round 7, Pick 29 regardless, 93 picks early. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They banked enough surplus on Torrence to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
