Draft Grade — Bills
Overall
B

FutureC+
The Bills won the night they stopped Echoles from sliding. Grade: B. When a board-topper like Will Echoles slides to Round 3, Pick 5, you do not overthink it, and the Bills did not.
They are betting Wein proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want. Spending an early pick on linebacker with tight end open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick38
Rnd2
Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending pick No. 38 on Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa with tight end unsolved.
Pick42
Rnd2
Ryan Coleman-Williams
A surprising call. With tight end still to address, they spent the 42nd pick on Ryan Coleman-Williams, a wide receiver they were not short of.
Pick62
Rnd2
Kade Pieper
Kade Pieper at pick 62 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick69
Rnd3
Will Echoles
They robbed the room for Will Echoles here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick83
Rnd3
Brice Pollock
Of all the spots to shop, they chose cornerback. Brice Pollock in the Round 3 slot leaves tight end for later.
Pick92
Rnd3
Bray Hubbard
They bypassed pressing needs at tight end to take Bray Hubbard, a safety that was not the priority.
Pick104
Rnd4
Taylor Wein
A real head-scratcher, Taylor Wein in the 104th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick128
Rnd4
Cam Cook
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went running back with Cam Cook while clear needs at tight end sat open.
Pick144
Rnd5
Drake Lindsey
They paid a round early for Drake Lindsey in pick 144, more than the board wanted. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick158
Rnd5
Koi Perich
Koi Perich in the 158th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster logic is harder to follow.
Pick163
Rnd5
Brandon Inniss
Brandon Inniss slid further than he should have, and No. 163 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A pick in search of a role on this roster.
Pick183
Rnd6
Robert Fitzgerald
Robert Fitzgerald in pick No. 183 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fits a board better than it fits this team.
Pick249
Rnd7
Edrees Farooq
Edrees Farooq at the 249th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A fine player at a spot low on the priority list.
Pick253
Rnd7
Sammy Omosigho
Sammy Omosigho in the Round 7 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
