Grand theft in No. 159: the Vikings steal Moore and grade out a A-. The rest of the league will want that one back. Malachi Moore tumbling to the Vikings in pick No. 159 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The veteran additions, Jonathan Taylor chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Barrett Carter and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick138
Rnd5
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at No. 138 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick159
Rnd5
Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore in pick No. 159 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
