The trade table was a mismatch, and the Lions were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Ford.

Reaching for Beebe left real value on the table behind him.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
