Watson should have been long gone. The Chargers pounced, and earned a A-.

When a board-topper like Nathaniel Watson slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Chargers did not. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
