The Seahawks let Paul Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

The Seahawks spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Chris Paul Jr., the No. 113 name on the board, in No. 212. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

They will need Howard to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The veteran additions, Quinn Meinerz chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
