The Cardinals lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with quarterback, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
