The Panthers won the night they stopped Skattebo from sliding. Grade: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Cam Skattebo got past him. The Panthers do not have to explain a thing at slot 147.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Every board in the league had Walker lower, and that gap is the story. The Walker pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback, linebacker and other spots.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
