The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: Trente Jones, the No. 195 name on the board, sitting there at No. 238 like a gift left on the doorstep. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
