Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Commanders spent the Round 4 slot on Jalen McLeod, a name the board had a full 73 spots lower. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

That Cornelius pick is the receipt they will wave around later. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
