The Vikings kept it disciplined and banked a B.

Of all the ways to open, the Vikings chose the head-scratcher, spending Round 4, Pick 32 on Johnny Dixon with tight end still wide open. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Washington makes the weekend a net positive. They will need Milton III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
