The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

They banked enough surplus on Singleton Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Payton pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
