The Browns did not so much draft Tyreak Sapp as overpay for him, 169 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Getting Singleton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
