The steal of the weekend belongs to the Saints and Mondon Jr.: A-. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Saints watched Smael Mondon Jr. slide 80 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.
The cost of the Parker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Saints clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 8 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In the end it comes back to Will Johnson, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
