They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. No fireworks, but a solid B.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Raiders indulged a want in Weeks while a need in edge rusher, tight end and other spots stayed open.

Landing Shuler that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
