Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB- TradesA+ FutureB-
Banks should have been long gone. The Raiders pounced, and earned a B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Raiders watched Caleb Banks slide 40 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They are betting Miller proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In pick No. 16 they get the heartbeat of the defense, and a steal at that. Need was not the driver here.
Pick27 Rnd1 Christen Miller
They took Christen Miller at par in slot 27, which is nothing to complain about. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick36 Rnd2 Sonny Styles
By-the-book stuff, Sonny Styles at No. 36 squarely in line with his ranking. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick67 Rnd3 Caleb Banks
They will replay Caleb Banks at the Round 3 slot for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick102 Rnd4 Blake Miller
They talked themselves into Blake Miller at Round 4, Pick 2, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick117 Rnd4 Cade Klubnik
Cade Klubnik at the 117th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 CJ Daniels
A tidy little value on CJ Daniels in the 134th pick, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick174 Rnd5 Le'Veon Moss
Le'Veon Moss at pick 174 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick180 Rnd6 Oscar Delp
A tidy bit of business in the Round 6 slot, where Oscar Delp graded well above the range. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick183 Rnd6 Bryce Foster
Bryce Foster in Round 6, Pick 4 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick219 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
No edge and no loss on Dijon Johnson in pick No. 219; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
