Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bills a B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bills reached some 42 spots for Malik Mustapha, and value like that does not grow back.

However the rest shakes out, Harden at that price is a win they earned. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick36 Rnd2 Xavier Legette
They took Xavier Legette at par in the Round 2 slot, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick60 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
No edge and no loss on Kamren Kinchens in No. 60; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick67 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
Ja'Lynn Polk at pick No. 67 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick128 Rnd4 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha in the 128th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick134 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
They did well to land Sataoa Laumea in slot 134, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick144 Rnd5 Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson at the 144th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick160 Rnd5 Myles Cole
A wild overpay on Myles Cole in the Round 5 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick163 Rnd5 Nelson Ceaser
Nelson Ceaser in slot 163 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick200 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. at pick 200 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick204 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
They let M.J. Devonshire come to them and pounced at the 204th pick. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick248 Rnd7 Myles Harden
Myles Harden in Round 7, Pick 28 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
