Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Patriots spent pick No. 210 on Eric O'Neill, a name most had 52 spots down the list.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They banked enough surplus on Coleman Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
