Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Cardinals checked most of the boxes and earned a B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In the 4th overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Troy Fautanu
In the 27th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ennis Rakestraw Jr.. A minor need, but a need all the same.
