You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

If Zabel pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
