FutureD
A masterclass at the trade table lands the Falcons a B-. The Falcons ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.
Every board in the league had Williams lower, and that gap is the story. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
However the rest shakes out, Edwards at that price is a win they earned.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
Mike Green
In the 15th overall pick they get a problem off the edge, even if it was a touch early.
Pick16
Rnd1
Luther Burden III
In pick 16 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick118
Rnd4
Oluwafemi Oladejo
A big swing on Oluwafemi Oladejo at the Round 4 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick218
Rnd7
Donovan Edwards
Donovan Edwards is a better player than the 218th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The roster fit checks out.
Pick242
Rnd7
John Williams
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for John Williams. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
