Draft Grade — Titans
Overall D
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Titans and Ersery: D.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Titans shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Ersery value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
No drama and no debate, Abdul Carter went about where he belonged in No. 4. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick34 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick35 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka at the 35th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick38 Rnd2 Omarion Hampton
A tidy bit of business in pick 38, where Omarion Hampton graded well above the range. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick65 Rnd3 Xavier Watts
Circle this one: Xavier Watts at the 65th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick69 Rnd3 Jack Bech
Jack Bech in slot 69 is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick77 Rnd3 Aireontae Ersery
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 77th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick102 Rnd4 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman slipping to the 102nd pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick119 Rnd4 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at slot 119 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
Pick142 Rnd5 Hollin Pierce
Hollin Pierce in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick168 Rnd5 Dorian Strong
Dorian Strong at Round 5, Pick 29 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick180 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Dont'e Thornton Jr. at pick 180, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick241 Rnd7 Kitan Crawford
Kitan Crawford in pick No. 241 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
