Larceny in slot 232 lands the Colts a B-, Wiley and all.

There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Colts never got to the one that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The Wiley value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Every board in the league had Lloyd lower, and that gap is the story. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick15 Rnd1 Dallas Turner
In No. 15 they get a bendy edge with upside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. at pick No. 46. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick82 Rnd3 Johnny Wilson
The board had Johnny Wilson higher than the 82nd overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick118 Rnd4 MarShawn Lloyd
MarShawn Lloyd at pick 118 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick150 Rnd5 Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen at the 150th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick193 Rnd6 Jaylan Ford
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jaylan Ford at the Round 6 slot is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick232 Rnd7 Jared Wiley
Steal is underselling it; Jared Wiley at No. 232 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
