Whoever sat across the table from the Chiefs should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Simmons. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
