2024 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

FutureB-
The Bears robbed the room for Revel Jr.. Final grade: B. You build a draft on nights like this. Shavon Revel Jr. had no business being available in pick 82, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Walter Nolen
In pick No. 18 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35
Rnd2
Landon Jackson
By-the-book stuff, Landon Jackson at Round 2, Pick 3 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick50
Rnd2
Clay Webb
They paid sticker price for Clay Webb in slot 50, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick82
Rnd3
Shavon Revel Jr.
They will replay Shavon Revel Jr. at No. 82 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick156
Rnd5
Tory Horton
Tory Horton at the 156th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick200
Rnd6
Jaydn Ott
Jaydn Ott slipping to the Round 6 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick246
Rnd7
Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at pick 246 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick256
Rnd7
Oronde Gadsden II
Nothing to complain about; Oronde Gadsden II went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
