Larceny in pick No. 100 lands the Commanders a B, Horton and all.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Commanders watched Tory Horton slide 32 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

No drama and no debate, Will Campbell went about where he belonged in the 4th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick36 Rnd2 Emery Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Emery Jones at Round 2, Pick 4, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick68 Rnd3 Barrett Carter
Somehow Barrett Carter was still sitting there in the 68th pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick100 Rnd4 Tory Horton
Taking Tory Horton in pick No. 100 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick132 Rnd5 Oscar Delp
A tidy little value on Oscar Delp in No. 132, a step better than break-even. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick164 Rnd6 Jack Nelson
A slide stopped in pick 164, with Jack Nelson worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick174 Rnd6 Hunter Wohler
A reasonable price with a little left over, Hunter Wohler in slot 174. A minor need, but a need all the same.
