The Ravens did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Keon Coleman fell into the Round 2 slot.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Ravens indulged a want in Smith while a need in interior defensive lineman, quarterback and other spots stayed open.

The cost of the Smith reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
