Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bengals were there to profit. Tahj Brooks, the No. 122 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 154th pick.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Broughton lower, and that gap is the story.

They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
