gsukjdakid DRAFTING FOR THEEagles
Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Eagles a B. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Eagles left cornerback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. The bottom line is a respectable B.
Getting Paul Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They went 3 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The back end got a real overhaul.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Malaki Starks
In Round 1, Pick 32 they get a rangy last line of defense. A real need, handled.
Pick64
Rnd2
Bradyn Swinson
Bradyn Swinson in slot 64 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick96
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
Chris Paul Jr. is a better player than the Round 3 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick134
Rnd4
Ty Hamilton
They did well to land Ty Hamilton in pick 134, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
